I know you were not interested in reading this week's post, I know you think that littering is what your parents taught you when you were three. Their constant bickering with you "no, sweetie, this goes in the garbage not on the floor", yet you litter the park with pop cans in the eighth grade, but I am not your mother! I am not arguing I am trying to make a change, and the only cure for littering is YOU. So let's make a difference together.
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3. Recycle, compost and throw away. I am someone who walks to school and everyday I pass by Goodlife Fitness and there is a green area right beside the side wing parking lot. It is always littered with beer cans, plastic bags, water bottles etc. It is disgusting. We need to stop and make a difference!

The most important thing is the green bin! In the green bin we can compost banana peels, paper towels, bread crust, pizza crust, apple cores, orange peels and any fruits and vegetables and all leftover food.
Recycling is ranked #2, paper, plastic, metal too. Glass goes in, bags goes out. Recycling symbols means I can recycle it, remember that. Recycling is better than garbage but worse than composting because it uses lots of energy, however it is better than ending up in the landfill.
Garbage, avoid it? Why? It all ends up in the landfill. You may think that garbage is only the small amount of waste that doesn't end up in the recycling bin or the compost. The amount of waste that must be thrown away is larger than both the compost and recycling combined! So do not put everything in the garbage.
Wait a minute, what about littering?
Littering is lame. Even if you must throw things away it is better than littering, so remember CRAWL: compost is in first place, recycling is number two, avoid garbage, what about littering... littering is lame.
Now in order to remember these steps, what goes in the recycling and what goes in the green bin, here a some fun crafts that you can do in your spare time!

just like an acrostic poem. Then after every letter write a sentence. Here are a few starters, but if you'd like to use other sentences go ahead!
After C write: compost is #1.
After R write: recycling is ranked number two.
After A write: avoid garbage
After W write: what about littering?
After L write: littering is lame.
Then decorate your page with anything you'd like!
That's the end of my blog! Remember CRAWL, because littering is lame!
